Credit Human Celebrates Grand Opening of Fifth Financial Health Center in New Orleans
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Location Uptown Scheduled for October 10th
NEW ORLEANS (October 8, 2024) – Credit Human Federal Credit Union is excited to announce
the grand opening of its newest Financial Health Center located at 2801 Magazine Street on
Thursday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The opening will feature food, prizes, financial
coaching and information provided by Credit Human Membership Relationship Specialists and a
ribbon cutting ceremony with the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Magazine Street
Merchants Association.
“Credit Human believes in communities free of financial stress, and we exist to help people
experience that through our financial services and products designed to help improve people’s
lives”, said Credit Human CEO Steve Hennigan. “This Financial Health Center exemplifies our
commitment to empower individuals in their financial journeys.”
Reducing financial stress goes beyond financial literacy – a priority of Financial Health Centers
for anyone in the community -- by helping people create and maintain “financial slack” – a term
the company coined to express how saving just a little bit each month can get people to a much
more constructive relationship with their money. By providing resources and personalized
guidance, Credit Human helps members create a buffer that allows them to navigate life's
unpredictability with confidence and resilience so that people can control their finances rather
than vice versa.
As a new kind of financial institution, Credit Human prioritizes member success over
shareholder profits. “Our decision-making process from where to establish locations to how to
build products is grounded in the belief that what is best for members ultimately contributes to
a thriving community” continued Hennigan. This new Financial Health Center marks the brand’s
fifth location in New Orleans, further deepening its commitment to serving the local population.
"We are really excited to expand our footprint in New Orleans with the opening of this new
Financial Health Center,” said Hennigan, CEO of Credit Human. “This location not only enhances
our ability to serve our members but also reflects our dedication to helping them succeed
financially. It’s not just about providing services but fostering a supportive environment that
truly makes a difference in their lives. There’s no other financial institution in this marketplace
that takes this approach that we have made our core mission."
Community members are invited to attend the grand opening event to explore the Financial
Health Center, meet the team, and learn more about the innovative products and services
Credit Human offers. Whether or not someone is a member, Credit Human’s Member
Relationship Specialists are available to provide guidance and feedback to help people in the
local community better understand and manage their financial challenges. Together, Hennigan
said, Credit Human is committed to building a financially healthy community in New Orleans.
