About Us
Heartbeat NOLA Mission: To significantly increase the number of New Orleans citizens who are trained in CPR/AED/First Aid and will be able to save a life from Sudden Cardiac Arrest – the leading cause of death in the US.
Heartbeat NOLA is a citizen CPR & AED Awareness and Education Program as well as a Fundraising Campaign to place more accessible AEDs in the New Orleans area. We also provide training and certification in Adult & Infant CPR, AED and First Aid.Video Media

Hearbeat NOLA at the LRA show 2018. Our goal is to reach far into the hospitality industry in hopes that all restaurants, hotels and event venues have staff trained in CPR, AED and Emergency First Aid as well as a Publically Accessible AED.
Heartbeat NOLA trained staff of Tipitina's and members of Galactic then installed an AED. Tipitina's is now a heart-safe venue.
Tipitina's namesake Professor Longhair and CPR training manikin, "Fess".

Tricha is married and the mother of 2 daughters. She attended Nicholls State University and earned a BSN degree in Nursing in 1994. She began practicing as a nurse at West Jefferson Medical Center. After the birth of her 2nd daughter, she began working for an Outpatient Ambulatory Clinic. In 2005, she began working for Peoples Health. She has been practicing nursing for 24 years and have enjoyed every aspect of it. In my current role, it is our mission to provide affordable healthcare to the members we serve and help to improve their individual health outcomes.

Kim is a single mother of 2 sons. She attended University of New Orleans and earned a BS degree in Marketing & Management in 2007. She began her career at Allstate in 2009 as a Claims Service Specialist and is currently residing in Dallas, Texas as a National Catastrophe Team Lead. In her spare time, she works as an Independent Consultant for Paparazzi Accessories.

View Personal BioSuzanne HowardSuzanne E. Howard is a Registered Nurse, who was awarded the Chief Gregory Pyle Scholarship in 2004, from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing and continued her 10 year commitment to honor & serve the tribal members of the Choctaw Nation Tribe. This experience in Native American health disparities began her journey to obtain her CDE. Suzanne volunteers her time by working at Wellness Events for the military, immunizing our service men and women.

In her 27 years in the hospitality industry, she has applied her creative energy, dedication and managerial skills to produce outstanding programs for clients and to establish great relationships with vendors.
Kelly is a native of New Orleans who graduated from Loyola University. She has been actively involved in the New Orleans chapter of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) since 2005 and has served on its board for 7 years in several positions including Chapter President. View Personal BioMaurice TrosclairSudden cardiac arrest survivor Maurice Trosclair was born and raised in the Crescent City, from Pigeon Town in the Carrollton area of Uptown New Orleans. He was inspired by his musical family of 8 brothers and sisters to pursue a life in music. He went to De La Salle High School where he chose trombone as his main instrument. In 2013 Maurice formed his own traditional New Orleans jazz band, Funky Bone that is dedicated to the preservation and exploration of New Orleans music. "Miracle Meaux" gets his nickname from surviving a Sudden Cardiac Death episode on Valentines Day 2017. He is well known for his positive energy, musical dedication and unwavering passion for his hometown, New Orleans. His impact, influence and contribution to New Orleans’ cultural identity remain a work in progress.

View Personal BioMrs. Nancy TrosclairNancy Trosclair is the long-time owner of Destination New Orleans, a full-service DMC. Her husband’s Sudden Cardiac Arrest on an elevator on Valentine’s Day 2017 and the incredible actions of bystanders who provided immediate CPR and shocks from an Automatic External Defibrillator – a perfect chain of survival, has resulted in Nancy and her husband Maurice, creating Heartbeat NOLA, a 501c3 non-profit organization, to spread awareness and education about SCA, the leading cause of death in the US, and the importance of knowing CPR and how to use and AED. They also raise funds to place AEDs in local music clubs and other venues while also teaching CPR & AED skills to the staff of venues receiving AEDs.
