About Us

Energy Smart is a comprehensive energy efficiency program that incentives Entergy New Orleans customers to perform energy-saving upgrades in their homes and businesses. The program was developed by New Orleans City Council and is administered by Entergy New Orleans.

The Energy Smart team works with residents, business owners, facility managers and trade ally contractors to identify opportunities and provide cash incentives for completing eligible upgrades with measurable/verifiable energy savings.

Business customers can receive incentives for qualifying equipment upgrades such as:

Lighting and lighting controls.
HVAC replacement and controls.
A/C, heat pump and chiller tune-ups.
Commercial kitchen equipment.
Building automation systems.
Compressed air systems.

Incentives for commercial energy-saving equipment upgrades are up to $200,000 per project per year with an annual customer incentive cap of $600,000 across all projects and accounts.

Energy Smart provides additional support for small business Entergy New Orleans customers. The Small Business Energy Assessment provides a free assessment with the installation of energy-saving products and recommendations for additional upgrades.
