New Orleans Chamber Foundation

The New Orleans Chamber Foundation is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation with a 501 c 3 tax-exempt status. This Foundation is a resource to secure additional resources for our community that could enhance workforce development initiatives, K through 12 educational excellence, entrepreneurship, sustainable economic development and other quality of life issues that make New Orleans a city of choice to live, work and play!

The Chamber Foundation has worked with three local non-profits this year:

Lemonade Day is a free, community wide program that fosters entrepreneurship and character development among Greater New Orleans’ youth by supporting them in establishing and operating their own lemonade businesses.  Greater New Orleans Lemonade Day is Saturday, May 5, 2012

 

 

The Green Games Award Ceremony seeks to recognize and reward local businesses who are participating in the first annual Gumbo Green Games, a competition for organizations to compete with themselves and each other in improving their social and environmental impact. The ceremony date is Thursday, May 10, 2012.

 

 

“Teachers Night Out” is an event designed to celebrate and publically proclaim our community’s appreciation for teachers, recognizing the major role they play in developing young minds and strengthening the character of our youth.  The past 2 events have been a huge success with an average of 900 teachers attending each event.  The next celebration will be held in the fall of 2012.
